Is somebody being a real “turkey” to you this year? Thanksgiving can be a tough time for a lot of people who are excited to get together, but end up feeling let down by hurtful family and friends.

During this time of my husband healing from cancer; God has immensely blessed our own family with family and friends offering love, encouragement and support. But, we too, have dealt with painful holiday experiences in the past. It hurts to be hurt by the people who are supposed to love us. This can cause a Christian to wrestle with rejection; wondering, “Is it me?”

I’ve so been there! I also continue to hear stories of others’ hurt feelings and deep disappointments.

So… today, God laid upon my heart to share some past posts about self worth, rejection, and forgiveness with boundaries. If you’re living in Christ Jesus, the enemy will come after you with lies, trying to beat you down, and make you think everything is your fault. But, if you are living through Jesus to the best of your ability, just know: It’s NOT you!” God loves you! It hurts Jesus when others mistreat you! Don’t let anyone steal your joy! Hold on to your confidence in Christ! This allows you to remain who you were created to be; yet still grow into everything God is calling you to be!

May the following posts encourage you today; help you see God’s truths about yourself, and keep you safe and protected; with the freedom to put up any necessary boundaries, while still shining bright for Jesus!
