May God bless and protect all those today who are marching for the right to life. May God protect the unborn children who have been conceived, and those yet to come. Be thankful for the life we are given on earth, and for the promise of eternal life we are given through Jesus Christ!
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
Psalm 139:13-14 New International Version
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matt. 6:26
A busy day filled with appointments and lots and lots of driving back and forth.
God filled it up with little bits of joy and surprises, and perfect answers to prayers, and time alone to listen to God’s Word. Then, while finally arriving home, He painted me a breathtaking Merry Christmas scarlet sky! Afterwards, He topped it off with a delicious dinner date with my favorite teenaged twin boys; then some fun Christmas shopping with them for presents afterwards, which lasted till midnight!
“He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth– the LORD God Almighty is his name.”
(Amos 4:13 New International Version)
Oh what a gift to come home to Christmas on country roads among majestic Blue Ridge Mountains!
I went to a beautiful funeral today, to celebrate the life of a beautiful soul, belonging to a beloved young boy gone too soon. Yet, God remains triumphant even through tragedy, because people gave their lives to Jesus today! So though we grieve the life of a dearly precious boy, he now lives eternally with Jesus in Heaven. In this dark black storm, lies the silver lining…God is moving among a hurting community of people who need Jesus, and He is showing them how to find His Son. Though there is pain, even death cannot take away the victory that is ours through Jesus Christ. God always wins!
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

Cloud: When darkness hovers over your community, and people are hurting as tears fall, and sorrow saturates the painful places.
Silver Lining: When light brings community together, and people are hopeful as smiles appear, and glimpses of joy can be found in the healing.
“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.”
Romans 12: 15
New International Version
Are you being shunned for following Jesus, while others just pretend to be Christians? It’s better to stand out because you’re living in God’s truth, than to belong to a crowd of people who listen to, believe in, and live in lies. But don’t be surprised if you wrestle with REJECTION. This spirit is a big one, but it isn’t too big for Jesus to battle! My series on rejection is on its way, filled with scripture and spiritual advice on how to deal with it. Jesus knows all about being rejected by family, friends, and the whole world! But Jesus overcame it ALL! When you’re washed in the blood of the lamb, you will battle rejection, and WIN! God’s hopeful children can come to Him and find the opposite of rejection. Through His Son, Jesus, Christians will find healing, comfort, acceptance, joy, and freedom! What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
New International Version Jesus will never reject you! He wants to have a relationship with you. He loves you, even in your brokenness. Call upon his name!
I witnessed this amazing phenomenon earlier in the evening, while lying down relaxing on my kids’ trampoline, and gazing at the beautiful blue sky. I saw them while I was talking to God. It was incredible! Click on the link below and stare at the photo of the blue sky to see what I viewed up above! Very cool! Isn’t God’s world amazing? I was mesmerized by these little tiny silver sparks!
Tiny silver sparkles in a blue, blue sky!
“In the last days, God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants–men and women alike–and they will prophesy. And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below–blood and fire and clouds of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the LORD arrives. But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.’ ”
Acts 2: 17-21 New Living Translation
