Face Me Under Your Rainbow

There’s so much loss, and so much pain,

Oh, please God, show Your face again!

You dwell up far, in vast, blue skies;

So how can You hear lonely cries,

And muffled screams, and unshed tears?

Will you redeem our wasted years?

God, when I finally break and cry,

I call Your Name in Heaven High.

I’m lacking, yet I’ve still believed,

I’m losing, though I’ve still received!

I’m struggling, yet I’ve praised You true,

I’m suffering; how I still love You!

All that I have belongs to Thee;

Lord, help me trust Your Word’s for me!

From deep depression and despair;

God, let me feel that You’re still there.

I’m sad for “doubting Thomases;”

So help me claim Your promises,

Your covenants, which do declare

Your love for children everywhere.

I search the sky in spite of rain,

Cast cloudy eyes far past my pain,

For God, You raise me high from low,

When ‘ere we meet at Your rainbow!

      Thank you, Bruce! I think rainbows are absolutely miraculous! It’s so important that people understand God created rainbows, and they represent His promise to us. It is my prayer that readers who don’t know God will be searching rainbows and find this poem and become curious about our Creator and from there find salvation and TRUE freedom in Jesus Christ! Thank you for your encouragement and always a kind word! God bless you, Bruce, and your family; in Jesus’ name! ✝️🌈💙
