Winter Sunset’s Slice of Moon
I gaze up into God’s great sky;
Right now it’s just my Lord and I.
With winter sunset’s slice of moon,
Please hurry, Jesus, come back soon.
It’s fiery red behind the woods;
Out here, I find no shoulds or coulds.
There’s just a vast expanse of space;
I’m so glad God can see my face!
Both in the light and in the dark,
He sees me, for I have His mark,
A seal that shows my life’s secure,
His Holy Spirit, true and pure.
So as you gaze up overhead,
Imagine being gone, and dead;
Or choose to believe in the One
Who gives eternal life; God’s Son.

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession–to the praise of his glory” (Eph. 1:13-14 New International Version).
Lovely poem. Lovely pics. Lovely lady 🙂

Beautiful poetry! I echo what you said at the end of the first stanza. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus!
