Healing is a Journey…

Your healing may not come all at once. God first has many important things to teach you. These lessons are necessary for your growth as a Christian, and will prepare you for the greater spiritual battles you will face on earth. While you wait to be healed, ask God what He wants you to learn along the way. He will not disappoint you.

God does not want you to be sick, depressed, or injured. But what God does want to do; is take your time of pain and suffering, and show you how to turn it into joy and freedom in Christ! This is because He loves you! If you ask God for wisdom during your trial of illness or long-suffering, He will give it to you freely. It will all be used to: benefit your life, draw other people into a closer relationship with Jesus, and glorify God’s name!

Be patient. Trust God; and take Him with you as you travel through the thick, stormy clouds, in order to reach your bright destination. For only Jesus can show us the silver lining; which lies just up ahead, at the very next stop!

“Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd” (Matt.9:35-36 New Living Translation).

April, it is sometimes really hard to understand! I’ve been there, and the trial is dark and scary. What comforts me, is knowing that it is not God’s will for us to be sick. We live in a fallen world, and sin and brokenness around us can cause us to get sick, through no fault of our own! But God promises He will heal us in due time, if we pursue Jesus and trust Him. He can also heal the unsaved through our faith and prayers for others! It’s true there are some people God calls home, but that’s something different; it’s their time. Perhaps it’s because they are willing to be used by God to help others heal, who are still here on earth. I have a friend, whose baby went home to be with Jesus. She said she God gave her a vision of her son up in Heaven, before being born, waving his hand in a group of children, telling Jesus, “I’ll go!” Jesus did that. He volunteered to suffer pain and hardship, and die young, so that others could live! We can never know God’s complete plan. But we can know He is a good God, and He knows what is best. I think the biggest thing most Christians still do not fully grasp, is that we live in a spiritual world; and therefore we DO have hope in miraculous healings through prayer, anointings, spiritual warfare, and the act of forgiveness! If I’ve learned anything from my experiences with sickness and healing, it’s that we really CAN trust God, to take care of us, and our loved ones, even when it looks like everything is out of control! April, my family will be continuing to pray for your precious brother, and for you, as you minister to him in Christ! πŸ’™πŸ™πŸΌ

This is beautiful, and so true. Chronic Illness is incredibly hard, but I have already learned so many lessons along the way, and I’m only 25. I don’t look forward to a life full of pain, but I do look forward to a journey with the Lord and all the lessons along the way. I am confident I will find wholeness and healing: if not in this life, then in the next. Thank you again!

Dear Writer Kat, I wrote this post specifically with you, and those like you, in my mind. I’ve been through the difficult heart-wrenching journey of watching my child suffer due to chronic illness, of going from hopeless and depressed and afraid; to absolute astonishment, joy, and praise at the miracle God did in his life! God healed my son of an incurable illness, called Eosinoplilic Esophagitis. We found that even though there was much pain and long-suffering along the way, that God needed to teach us some crucial important truths along the way, that would have been MISSED, had my son been healed sooner. Because God is so good; He did BOTH! ❀️ I believe God has the same plans for you! God wants you to be well! It is not God’s will for you to have pain the rest of your life! Ask God to teach you, and trust Him, even when it doesn’t seem like anything makes sense! Hold on to His hand, and remember if you let go, He will catch you so you don’t fall! I will be praying for you, precious girl! Message me if you have any questions, or if you want prayer! πŸ’™
