      Linda,
Thank you for entering! It must be fun to stay up late and open presents! We open ours on Christmas Day, but we always look forward to a delicious dinner and church on Christmas Eve. Thank you for sharing! God bless you and your family this Christmas, in Jesus’ name! 💙🎄❤️

      Cindy,
Thank you for entering! I love the idea of adopting an elderly woman or man for the holidays! Christmas is especially a time where those living alone need to be cheered and lifted up to God. 😊 We love to share Christmas cheer too, with whomever God lays upon our hearts. Every year is different for us. I love your tradition, and I know you have such a caring heart for the elderly. Blessings to you and your family, in Jesus’ name! 💙🎄❤️

We always find ways to give back during the holidays and it is different every year. Then, on Christmas Eve, we attend Candlelight Service and snuggle up at home afterwards to watch “It’s a Wonderful Life,” assuming we stay awake!

Erin, I’m so glad you mentioned It’s a Wonderful Life, because our family loves snuggling up to watch Christmas movies, and our boys haven’t seen that one! Thank you for the reminder; so excited!
Let’s get together in the new year. We love you guys! 💙😊🎄 P.S. Thank you for entering!

I let my son open a present on Christmas Eve that we can do together before bed, like a Christmas movie to watch or a Christmas Lego set we can do together.

      Jeanne,
How fun! What a special time for you to celebrate Jesus’ birthday! What a wonderful tradition! You’re the best mom ever! Your son is so blessed to have you, just as you are blessed to have him! We always do Christmas pajamas, or for teens; comfy sweats and shirts. They also get to open their gifts from their grandparents. I can’t wait to see you in a few weeks! Merry Christmas, my sweet friend! 💙🌲❤️

My favorite tradition used to be for all the family to gather at my grandmother on my mom’s side on Christmas Eve. I loved that we were all there together. Most of them have passed, including my mother, but I now have Christmas morning with my “charges” who are older, then go to my dad’s and celebrate with him. A bonus was listening to Elvis and his blue Christmas on the record player. 🙂

Pami, thank you for entering! I’m sorry you’ve suffered so much loss, but I’m glad God has continued to bless you with your “charges” so you can continue your Christmas tradition of being with your loved ones! 😊 God promises to restore the lost years for His children, and He is faithful in keeping his promises! I love Christmas songs, and that includes “Blue Christmas” by Elvis! 💙

One of my favorite traditions is eating cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning before opening gifts. It’s such a simple thing but all of my kids look so forward to that.

Barbara, that is literally such a “sweet” tradition! We love our sweet tradition too, Whuch is monkey bread with cinnamon and sugar, and I love to have pecan rolls like my grandma used to make! God bless you my precious childhood friend, and thank you for entering! Love you! 💙

Leigha, what a beautiful tradition to have with family! I especially love the idea of lighting candles and praying for each other. It’s a peaceful, Christ-centered time of focusing on the birth of Jesus, and how our families are blessed, because he was born to save us from our sins. I remember singing “Silent Night” to my twins when they were NICU babies, and we had to stay home on Christmas Eve, instead of going to church. Your sharing, reminded me of this tender time. Thank you for telling about your tradition, and I’m so thankful for your beautiful family. We miss you very much!❤️ ❤️🎄💙
